A young man in a room. In front of his eyes is a lush green garden, a small lake, a bench to sit on... paradise. He tries with all his might to reach this beautiful place... yet the more desperate his efforts, the clearer it becomes that the garden is just a projection on the wall, an illusion perceived as reality. Correspondingly, the audience observes the scene through small, stained-glass windows, and thus can never see the full picture nor the true colours of what is going on in the room.

Tryout plays with the borders of fiction and reality and questions our ability to differentiate between the two. How far will we go for something that might only be a projection of our own wishes, hopes or fears? How long until we find ourselves literally running up against a wall?
